Shhh... It's A Secret

What kind of secrets do you trust your BFF with? If you trust them with EVERYTHING about you, you may want to think about what power you are placing in their hands.

I know that friendship is built on loyalty and trust (and sometimes with the help of a little pixie dust), but picture perfect friendships are only on TV. No matter how trustworthy a friend may be, you never know what they will do. They may trade your secrets for other secrets or info about someone else.

What I've found that works best is to exchange secrets. Another tip is to NEVER tell anyone your deepest, darkest secrets. The reason that deep, dark secrets are called deep, dark secrets are because they must not be shared because they have some sort of deep connection to u.

Another thing that is helpful to do is to trust different friends with different secrets. Spreading out your secrets (but not many of them) means that no friend knows too much. Also remember to always tell your friends not to tell anyone (this is a way to hold your friends accountable for anything that you tell them, the only issue is that its not legally binding).

Life is full of secrets, don't let them come between you and your friends. Friends are there to help you get through all the tough times in life; you should always feel like you have trust in them.
