Journals, Journeys, and More

Do you keep a journal or diary? You may want to consider writing in one because they are very helpful in the long run.

You can write down anything that comes to your mind, goals, hopes, dreams, or just random crap that you need to get out of your system.

Everyone has goals. Goals for everything you do. For example, I have goals for athletics, school, friends, and family. I have short term and long term goals. It is nice to have goals that you can accomplish, ones that you know you can achieve. But it is nice to know that one day you could do the impossible. Those long term goals may sound way out there but they could be closer than you think.

Another thing journals are good for is to have a place to pour out your life and your feelings. If you read my other post Shhh... It's a Secret you know how I feel about trusting people. A journal is a great way to get all your feelings out before you do something you regret. No one will ever be able to see your journal unless you want them to.

My Three Journals
I used my journals (I have multiple) to write about my day and my reactions to some of the interesting things that happened. If someone pissed me off or a friend stood up for me, it's in one of my journals.

Each journal has a purpose. The pink one is for life, school, and friends goals. The navy blue one with the delicate arch has my athletic goals. Finally, the silver one is my most personal journal. It contains who I like, my day, the thoughts on my friends, and my homework schedule.

Journals are fun to look back on. When you get older or if you just read back to what you said a week ago, you may surprise yourself. You may have said something in your journal that you were glad you didn't say out loud. You could just look back and laugh at what you wrote. There are many reasons why a journal is a great thing to have.

Have Fun and Good Luck!
